Abstract

The purpose of this study was to present the possibility of using the Kano method in Product Safety Management (PDS) classes at the EU in Wroclaw and to test its reproducibility. The study used the case method, and the research carried out in 2021-2023 documented more than a dozen food products.

The use of the Kano method is a valuable example that activates students by working in teams and carrying out a project involving collecting information on product and packaging characteristics and conducting surveys. In addition, it allows them to acquire the skills of quantitative and qualitative processing of the results obtained.

The repeatability of the results obtained by different authors for the same or similar product could only sometimes be obtained, which could have been influenced by the research timing, the research group's heterogeneity, and changing trends in the food market.

The Kano method was an effective way of improving classes in the subject of ZBP. It can be recommended in the implementation of other topics in which customer satisfaction with purchased products or provided services is studied.
