Wykorzystanie nanokompozytów polimerowych zawierających nanocząstki metali jako materiałów opakowaniowych
Abstract
The study aims to review the proposed applications of selected metals nanoparticles for the production of plastic-based food packaging materials presented in the literature. The literature review was based on the Elsevier database. The incorporation of nanofillers changes the properties of the polymer, leading to the improvement of the mechanical, thermal, and barrier properties of the packaging material. The nanocomposite also obtains antimicrobial properties when nanoparticles of silver, copper, copper oxide, titanium dioxide, and zinc oxide are used as fillers. The disadvantage of nanocomposites could be the migration of metal into packaged food. However, the studies available in the literature show that migration is much lower than the established limits. The paper presents a literature review of the recent achievements in the field of application of metal nanoparticles and metal oxide nanoparticles in materials proposed for food packaging.(original abstract)Downloads
