Ocena stanu odżywienia, sprawności fizycznej oraz częstotliwości spożycia produktów spożywczych przez dziewczęta w wieku 16 i 18 lat
Abstract
The research aimed at the evaluation of the state of nutrition, physical efficiency and frequency of consumption of food products by chosen groups of girls aged 16 and 18, students at Complex of Schools and Institutions for Professional Education in Zielona Góra. The anthropometric research was conducted regarding the body mass and height, circumference of waistline and from the obtained values the BMI, WC, WHtR indexes were calculated in relation to percentile distribution according to age and sex. The test of Zuchora's physical efficiency and an inquiry regarding the frequency of consumption of edible products by chosen groups and application of slimming diets were also conducted. The research showed that: 1) a greater percentage of 18-year-old girls (from 16-years-old) was characterized by a proper nutritional status, greater physical activity, very good physical fitness, more frequent consumption of pro-health products, but also the use of slimming diets; 2) irregularities in the amount of meals consumed occurred in both age groups of the examined girls. The nutrition of girls during adolescence should be monitored, as well as education in the field of rational nutrition and undertaking physical activity.(original abstract)Downloads
