Abstract
The aim of the study is to analyze and evaluate knowledge about selected current nutritional and dietary trends among consumers. The survey was attended by 120 respondents aged 16 to 35 years. The survey shows that the vast majority of the respondents are familiar with the concepts of nutritional and dietary trends (87.5%). The respondents knew the idea of nutritional and dietary trends. The best known trends were vegetarianism, veganism, gluten-excluding diet and lactose-excluding diet, and the least known trends were mood food and mindful eating. The respondents most frequently indicated health issues and food allergies and intolerances to follow dietary trends. The rarely chosen factors were family/cultural traditions. As a result of the research analysis and evaluation, it was found that consumers under 35 years of age had a relatively low level of knowledge about current nutritional and dietary trends.(original abstract)Downloads
