Submissions

Articles should be prepared using a pre-designed template. Download article (Word). If you prefer, you can also choose our LaTeX template instead (template instructions are included as README.md file). 

1. Engineering Sciences and Technologies publishes articles in Polish and English.
2. Any information concerning editorial requirements of a submitted text and a way of preparing a list of references can be found in the article template (top of this page).
3. The article, together with abstracts and references, must have minimum length of 24 thousand characters with spaces. Submissions longer than 50 thousand characters with spaces (about 12 pages) will be automatically rejected.
4. The submission should include:
   1. summaries in Polish and English (consisting of about 100 words each and that read separately from the rest of work inform about its content. They should contain such elements as: formulation of research purpose, identification of study object, essence of applied method and the most important results and conclusions),
   2. keywords (from 3 to 5) in Polish and English languages,
   3. alt texts for all figures, charts, maps and photos, created in accordance with our guidelines,
   4. JEL classification codes (JEL Classification System).
5. Articles are checked using the iThenticate anti-plagiarism system.
6. We ask authors not to provide any personal data in their manuscripts – our journal operates in double-blind peer review system.
7. Paper revisions submitted after the review stage should include the first name and surname of author/authors, affiliation of author/authors, e-mail address of author/authors and alternatively the source of funding.
8. Authors can read the reviews for their papers directly on their reviewing system profile.

AI Policy

At Nauki Inżynierskie i Technologie. Journal of Food and Engineering Sciences we promote responsible and transparent usage of AI (artificial intelligence) and ML (machine learning) tools and technologies. Authors interested in publishing with us, should keep in mind our guidelines and recommendations.

You can:

• Use AI/ML tools as a search engine, to assist with literature review and searching for sources.
• Use AI/ML to assist you with writing in terms of grammar, style and language.
• Use it for data science purposes, crunching large datasets, generating summaries and looking for outliers.
• Study AI/ML tools as a subject of your research.

You shouldn’t:

• Send AI generated submissions, or generate any substantial (e.g. a whole chapter) parts of your work.
• Use AI or machine translation to translate your entire submission from other language into English.
• Generate fake citations and references.

Please disclose your AI/ML usage when submitting your work (e.g. in a message for editors, the last stage of the submission process). Keep in mind that your work is expected to be original and written by you. Not disclosing any substantial AI usage in your submission may be a cause for rejection.

Submission length

Minimum accepted submission length is 24 000 characters with spaces (about 5.5 pages). The hard upper limit of submission length is 50 000 characters (about 12 pages) – going over this limit will result in automatic rejection.

Fee

All submissions scheduled for publication after January 1st, 2025, will be processed and published free of charge. This decision has been announced by the order of Rector of Wroclaw University of Economics and Business (ZR 173/2024).
