Abstract

The purpose of this article is to identify the changes in the organisation and functioning of the agricultural administration connected with abolishing the Agricultural Market Agency and the Agricultural Property Agency, and establishing the National Support Centre for Agriculture, as well as the impact of these changes on providing services to the beneficiaries of rural and agricultural areas benefiting from the financial support instruments. The results of the surveys carried out among the group of beneficiaries of the support for agriculture and rural areas indicate that the farmers expect more and better information about the implemented programmes and actions, accelerated dates of examining the applications and greater accessibility to the institutions dedicated to agriculture. The respondents indicate the necessity of reducing the bureaucracy and improving the process of applying. They also show that the changes in the institutional setup do not have an influence on the improvement of the performance of the tasks in terms of the services for agriculture.(original abstract)
