Aim: The aim of the article is to present qualitative tests, descriptive research of previously conducted experiments and pilot studies related to the implementation of Universal Basic Income (UBI), an economic concept proposing the provision of regular, unconditional cash payments to all citizens.
Methodology: The article focuses on two key research questions: What results have the pilot studies of these programs yielded so far? What factors determine their success or failure?
Results: The results of the summary of previous studies and its results are a consequence of the individual indicators and development results.
Implications and recommendations: Given the changes that are foreseen in social security, additional research and testing of different UBI models are necessary to find the most appropriate and approved solution.
Originality/value: The paper synthesizes essential empirical data that allow for the assessment of UBI’s effectiveness in various social and economic conditions. It presents completely new results and, thanks to them, we can expand our knowledge in the field of social policy.
