Guidelines for reviewers
- All articles are reviewed online through the OJS.
- Reviews are based on the review form.
- A reviewer of an article published in a scientific journal is an independent researcher dealing with the scientific area which is the subject of a publication (in justified cases it is acceptable to derogate from this rule).
- There is no conflict of interest between the author of an article and a reviewer, which is considered to include direct personal relationships (consanguinity, legal ties, conflict), professional subordination relations, direct scientific cooperation in the last two years.
- An article is reviewed by two independent reviewers.
- A review will be regarded as negative if one or more of the following criteria had been assigned failing grade by the reviewer:
- applied research methods
- substantive level
- selection and use of subject literature
- Obtaining two passing reviews is a condition of accepting an article for publication.
- In justified cases an article undergoes third review – this may happen if it recieved extreme ratings (failed – very good) in at least one of the following criteria in preceding reviews:
- applied research methods
- substantive level
- selection and use of subject literature
- Reviewers’ names are not disclosed to the author(s), similarly, the author(s)' names are not disclosed to the reviewers.
- A list of reviewers of a journal is published in the last issue of the journal in a given year.
