Circular Economy as an Emerging Trend for Social Enterprises

The article describes the potential of the circular economy as a new field of activity for social enterprises. It presents the concept of the circular economy, which is based on the principle of minimizing waste by reusing, remanufacturing, and recycling products. The purpose of the study presented in the article became to show how social enterprises engage in the circular economy in business practice in Poland. This goal was achieved based on intrinsic case study of a successful social enterprise in this field. The conclusions of the presented analysis indicate that the circular economy is an important area of activity for social enterprises, enabling them to simultaneously achieve social and economic goals, and foster sustainable development. Moreover, the circular economy can benefit both social enterprises and society as a whole by stimulating sustainable development, creating jobs and reducing negative environmental impacts.
