Nowe typologie pracowników międzynarodowych w ujęciu teorii prototypów - implikacje dla MZZL
Abstract
International migration and its multifaceted consequences in the economic, social, cultural and educational areas are undoubtedly one of the most important global challenges today. The purpose of this article is to define criteria for defining international employees (migrants, expatriates and others) in relation to prototype theory. The prototype is the most popular representative of a given category, with a distinct "core" and blurred edges on the border between one category and another. These findings contribute to the theoretical area of international human resource management (IHRM), as well as increase the reliability of conducted research on various types of international employees. Stricter definition criteria make it possible to precisely specify the subject of the research and its status at a given moment (eg when we examine a traditional expatriate, a business traveler or a self-initiated expatriate) and obtain a desired set of data on them in stream and resource terms, which enrich the representativeness of the research sample in particular in quantitative research.(original abstract)Downloads
