Author Guidelines

We ask authors to submit articles using the template: Download template

Scientific articles undergo the following review process:

  1. Editorial Committee assesses an article as to its material and formal content.
  2. Two independent reviewers outside the University of Economics in Wrocław make a review with respect to the following rules:
    • author and reviewers do not know identities of each other (double-blind review process),
    • review is written on the review form,
    • article assessment is expressed in points,
    • review is concluded unambiguously if an article can be published in the journal.
  3. Editorial Committee decides if an article will be published in a given issue of the journal.

Peer Review Model

A double-blind peer review process:

  • Authors do not know the identities of the reviewers.
  • Reviewers do not know the identities of the authors.

Roles and Responsibilities of Journal Bodies

  • Select qualified and unbiased reviewers with expertise in the relevant area.
  • Monitor the progress of the review to ensure timeliness and quality.
  • Make final decisions based on reviewers’ reports and editorial assessments.

Conflict of Interest Policy

  • Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any financial, personal, or professional relationships that could influence their judgment.
  • Reviewers must recuse themselves if they have recent collaborations, personal relationships, or competitive conflicts with the authors.
  • Editors are not allowed to handle papers in which they have a vested interest and must delegate such tasks to another editor.

Dispute Resolution and Appeals

  • Appeals: Authors who believe that a manuscript was unfairly rejected may submit an appeal, which is reviewed by an independent editorial member or.
  • Disagreements with Review Reports: If authors wish to respond to specific reviewer comments, they may submit a detailed rebuttal, which will be evaluated.
  • Post-Publication Feedback: The journal welcomes scholarly discussion and corrections post-publication to ensure academic accuracy and integrity.

Post-publication corrections must be reported by the author to the Editorial Committee. If approved, a correction notice (erratum or corrigendum) will be issued, detailing the nature of the amendment. This notice will be linked to the original article and published in the “Announcements” section of the journal’s website, ensuring transparency. In cases of major errors affecting the integrity of the article, a retraction may be issued in accordance with COPE guidelines.

The journal also supports scholarly debate: polemics or discussions regarding published articles should be submitted to the editors for review. Accepted responses will be published on the journal’s website, providing a platform for continued academic discourse.
